Who We Are
PromisedLandTrees.com is operated by Promised Land Trees LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Connecticut, United States (Business Filing Number 0014189338), with a registered address at PO Box 151, Colebrook, CT 06021. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Promised Land Trees LLC. “You” means the person placing an order.
By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read them before you buy.
What You Are Purchasing
When you order a tree, you are purchasing the planting and care of a tree by an independent farm in Israel, together with a commemorative certificate marking your dedication.
You are not purchasing:
• ownership of a tree, or of any land
• a right to visit, inspect, or locate any particular tree
• a guarantee that any individual tree will survive for any period of time
Your certificate is a keepsake. It is not a deed, a title, or a claim to any specific tree or parcel of land.
Our Role
Trees are planted by independent farms in Israel. We market and sell the planting, take your order, pay the farm, and issue your certificate. We expect that our growers follow professional standards for how trees are planted and cared for, but we do not own, staff, or run the farms, and we do not direct their day-to-day operations.
Trees Are Living Things
Trees are planted outdoors, in real soil, by working farms. Their survival depends on weather, season, drought, disease, wildlife, fire, and conditions no one controls.
We do not guarantee that any tree will survive for any particular length of time. We are not liable for the loss of a tree, and we do not guarantee replacement. What we guarantee is that your tree will be planted and cared for by a farm chosen for its skill and its seriousness about the work.
Planting Timing, Species, and Locations
• Planting dates are estimates. Agriculture depends on season and conditions.
• Tree species may change where a variety is unavailable.
• The farm or organization fulfilling your order may change.
• Your certificate commemorates your dedication and the planting of a tree. It does not certify the perpetual existence of a particular tree.
Certificates
Your certificate is delivered by email as a downloadable file, at no additional charge. If you would like a printed certificate posted to you, a printing and mailing fee applies, shown at checkout.
Prices and Payment
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is taken at checkout by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details; those are held by our payment processors, not by us.
We may change our prices at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
Cancellations and Refunds
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these Terms. In short: you may cancel for a full refund at any time before your order has been sent to a farm. After that point, we have already paid the farm and cannot refund. If we fail to have your tree planted at all, we will put it right.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Events Beyond Our Control
Neither we nor our farms are liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including war, terrorism, rocket attack, military order, evacuation, border closure, civil unrest, natural disaster, wildfire, drought, flood, disease, pest infestation, governmental restriction, labor dispute, or transport disruption.
Your Information
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first — most things are resolved with an email. If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, the parties agree to attempt mediation before bringing any other proceeding.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published on this site at the time of your order.
